Schwarzman Scholars Program is intended to train the next generation of global leaders in different areas of specialization and prepare their mindset for greater leadership roles in the society.
This Schwarzman Scholars program is the first scholarship created to represent and totally respond to the geopolitical landscape of the current 21st Century. The Schwarzman program will provide and offer most world best and brightest students the opportunity to develop their intrinsic leadership skills, harness academic prowess, expand professional networks and engage in special academic research through the one-year Master’s Degree at Tsinghua University in Beijing. This scholarship will enable students to study in one of the most prestigious university in China.

The Schwarzman will award up to 200 scholarship to students , 45% of the first class will is allocated to United States, 20% to China, and 35% to the rest of the world.
Schwarzman Scholars program will select students who has shown or display exceptional academic intelligence in the courses mentioned above, selected scholars will receive outstanding scholarship that will be enough to pay the followings:
- Tuition fees
- Room and board
- Travel to and from Beijing at the beginning and end of the academic year
- An in-country study tour
- Required course books and supplies
- Health insurance
- A personal stipend
All applicants who are still an undergraduate degree student must be must be on the final stages of his program before August 1 in order to be consider for the scholarship.
There is no specified requirements or criteria for a specific field of undergraduate study, but all fields are welcome, it is pertinent for all applicants, irrespective of undergraduate major, to articulate how participating in Schwarzman Scholars will help develop their leadership potential within their field.
All applicants must be at least 18 but not yet 29 years of age as of August 1 of their Schwarzman Scholars enrollment year.
English Language Proficiency
Candidates must demonstrate strong English language skills, as all teaching will be conducted in English. If the applicant’s native language is not English, official English proficiency test scores must be submitted with the application. Acceptable test options are:
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL PBT). Minimum score 600.
- Internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT). Minimum score 100.
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS). Minimum score 7.
These requirement is waived for applicants who graduated from an undergraduate institution where the primary language of instruction is English for at least two years of the applicant’s academic program, the requirement will also be waived for applicants who have studied in English for two or more years at a Master’s degree level or higher.
All candidate must complete the online application form and submit all relevant documents required before the deadline. Applicants holding a passport from any other country can apply online from 14 April to 21 September 2021.
Applicants who hold passports from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao can apply online from 1 January to 31 May 2021 through the China application portal.
