Brief History of Oxford Felix Scholarship

Oxford Felix Scholarship: Felix   has been supporting students from India at Oxford since 1991. The scholarships are administered by the three partner universities, with the support of the Felix Trustees.

Oxford Felix Scholarship enables academic outstanding students of Indian origin to pursue Post Graduate studies in any subject (Course) at the Prestigious Oxford University, University of Reading and the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London (SOAS).

Oxford Felix Scholarship Aim and Objective

The scholarship was formed to support underprivileged students from India and other developing countries (Africa) the opportunity to further their Postgraduate studies in Oxford University in Uk.

The priority of Felix Scholarship is to stimulate scholars by exposing them to academic study, cultures, experiences and friendship that they will otherwise have had the chance to sample. Felix Scholarship believe that this will enable students/ scholars to gain skills and visions to make helpful contribution to their immediate community and country.

Felix Scholarship Amount

Oxford Felix scholarship will take care of 100% course tuition and grant for living of about ( £15,840) and one return flight from India to the UK.  And so there will be an award to a student from a country with low income outside Indian.

Felix Scholarship Eligibility

Indian scholarship

  • Candidate must be a citizen of and resident of India;
  • You must have a first-class undergraduate or master’s degree from any Indian university;
  • Should not hold a degree from a university outside of India (this can disqualify a candidate from Felix Scholarship)
  • You are expected to return to India after completing your studies.

Non-Indian scholarship

Student from countries with low income or less developed  countries  on the DAC list of ODA , (outside of India) one award is available for such student each year the DAC List of ODA Recipients. This list can be found here.

 The following are eligibility criteria

  • Candidate should have a first-class undergraduate degree;
  • Candidate must not already hold a degree from a university outside of your home country (this can disqualify a candidate from Felix Scholarship) 
  • Scholars are expected to return to home county after completing your studies

Note.

The Felix scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic performance and financial need. Applicants who hold deferred offers to start in 2021-22 are not eligible to be considered for either scholarship.
